PENNSYLVANIA’S
MONEY IN POLITICS SCORECARD
93% of Pennsylvanians believe money has too much influence in politics.
We asked candidates running for state elections where they stand on getting money out of politics.
This page shows, side-by-side, where candidates stand on three core anti-corruption reforms - plus a link to their Democracy Page.
THE REFORMS
-
International vacations, sports tickets, dinners, lodging for public officials. Right now, gifts are corrupting, unlimited, and legal. Almost none of them are reported! A Gift Ban makes that illegal.
-
There are no limits to what rich people can contribute to a candidate’s campaign. Large campaign contributions influence, intimidate, and corrupt our elected officials.
-
Ban Super Pac spending by corporations, unions, and other organizations by using a strategy known as “The Montana Plan”.
What is a democracy page?
A democracy page is an issues page on the candidate's website that covers the candidate’s positions on reforms to get money out of politics and other democracy reforms that will return power to the citizens.

The map shows districts with two or more candidates from the same party running in the May 19th primary.
If your district isn’t listed there’s (at most) one candidate per party running. Only 41 of 456 possible races are competitive this year (under 10%).
Please note the tabs above the map to switch between House and Senate districts.
