Film screening: PPC Documentary Sneak Preview

  • Rush Arts Philadelphia 4954 Old York Road Philadelphia, PA, 19141 United States (map)

This Martin Luther King, Jr. weekend, join the Pennsylvania Poor People's Campaign to view a sneak preview screening of the documentary 'We Cried Power' in Philadelphia.

'We Cried Power' tells the story of the Poor People's Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival - the bold new social movement to end poverty, which is a revival of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s 1968 Poor People’s Campaign.

Learn more about our campaign and watch the intimate account of the 40 Days of Action in 2018, told through the eyes of the waged & unwaged workers, mothers, veterans, preachers, and students who are the voices and founding members of this fusion movement. Then, hear from leaders in the Pennsylvania campaign, who will be discussing how to get involved!

We are asking for suggested $5 donation at the door towards the costs for the Mass Poor People’s Assembly and Moral March on Washington on June 20, 2020. No one will be turned away.

Food will be served. Children welcome! Wheelchair accessible.
